Sarmiento’s Joya

Argentine Sarmiento x Beau's Powder'N Fluff
3/31/03 - Half Argentine

Beautiful Joya was our second llama and first half Argentine we purchased. Little did we know she would capture our hearts in a big way. She has a kiss, a hug and a piece of advice for everyone she meets, making everyone fall instantly in love with her. She is the llama with the 'tude!

Joya had the unbelievably big and beautiful Black Sapphire out of Black Ice, spring 2008

Narnia is about as typey as they come. We co-own her with Lynda Carothers, Carothers Country Farm, where Narnia lives.

Omar’s Cleopatra

Argentine Omar x WOR Emilia
5/17/05 - Half Argentine

Cleopatra, or Cleo, was the first cria ever born on our farm. She arrived three weeks late on my birthday!

Cleo is showing the beautiful fleece of her Argentine sire and will be bred in 2007.

Cleo placed 1st in her division at The 2007 Virginia Classic Fiber Show.

Cleo was exposed to Argentine Just Perfect for a Fall 2008 cria. Cleo spit off male 6/29/08

TuckerWoods Lady Hawke

Argentine Gaucho x MGF Jubilee
6/17/05 - Half Argentine

Lady was born with a "Look at me!" attitude and she still has us looking!

She is a farm favorite and one that alway's catches my eye out on in the field. Her fleece is unbelieveably gorgeous; was I surprised to see that dark gray under her taupe locks. Lady is all that we want in our Argentine program, dense, fine fiber and strong bone. We are looking forward to breeding her this year, and hope that she can produce some gray babies for us in our fledgling gray program.

Lady will be bred to Argentine Just Perfect Fall 2008

Norino’s Nightengale

Argentine Norino x GHLC Playmate
6/17/05 - Half Argentine

Nightengale, known as NiNi around the farm, is every bit as sweet as she looks. Norino has been DNA confirmed as NiNi's sire and has passed on his stunning fleece to his daughter.

NiNi will be bred to Argentine Just Perfect Fall 2008.

Rebano Escondido Silver Ecstasy

Rebano Escondido Copiapo x Rebano Escondido Victoria
7/30/05
Full Chilean of the Argentine Type

When I had the chance to purchase Silver, I jumped! I have admired her sire so much and tried to acquire a Copiapo son from the Taylor's in Montana when they dispersed their herds. Unfortunately they wanted to keep the RE herd together. And then came Silver. Silver has shown a little but is now getting ready to be a momma. With her platinum silver good looks we hope that she will be a star in our gray breeding program.

CCF Argentine Omar’s Shamar

Argentine Omar x CCF Shannon
6/5/03
Half Argentine
AMLA Height - 39"

Shamar is a welcome addition to our herd; not only is she half argentine, she is also foundation size mini. She gave us the surprise cria of the year; very white Angel out of Argentine Necito. Angel is so small, we suspect that she will also be a mini.

Shamar got first place in her division in the 2006 ALSA National Fleece Show. She just placed 1st in her division at The Virginia Classic Fiber Show and won Best In Show Handspinners Fleece. Shamar is a reverse appy and we are hoping that with the right breeding she will give us some gray babies.

Shamar will be bred to Argentine MiniMe Fall 2008

CCF Eray

Argentine Nolo x Godiva KF
5/21/05 - Half Argentine

Eray came to us from the midwest. She has the mellow, willing personality typical of the Argentines; winning a blue ribbon in Adult Costume with Greg at The Big E in the Fall of 2006. We think she is a keeper. Eray will be bred in Fall 2008 to JP.

Mercurio’s Aurora

Argentine Mercurio x Sarmiento’s Joya
5/17/06 - 3/4 Argentine

Aurora, or Rory, is now the second cria born my birthday! At my 5:30am check I found a dry little cria kushed all alone; her mother was with the other llamas eating hay; typical Joya. Aurora is the goddess of dawn, we thought it was an appropiate name as she was probably born pre-dawn.

She is our first 3/4 Argentine born on the farm and has been doing well for us in the showring, placing 4th in a large class at the 2007 Big E.
